Its officially Autumn and I honestly couldn’t be happier! Not only is Autumn my favourite season but it is also the season that makes my heart and soul the happiest. I’m so looking forward to the days that are full of beautiful Autumnal colours and the most perfect crisp Autumn air. I love nothing more than cosying up with a good book and a cup of tea at the best of times, but I love it even more during the Autumn months because I get to not only cosy up with a book and a cup of tea but also a blanket, candles lit and fairy lights on and if I’m really lucky the sound of rain outside.
There are quite a few books I would like to get to this Autumn especially some Victorian classics that I will be reading for Victober (Tentative TBR coming soon) as well as a number of buddy reads. So without further ado here are some of the books that I would like to read this Autumn:
- Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
- Nothing But Blackened Teeth – Cassandra Khaw
- Yellow Jessamine – Caitlin Starling
- Not Good for Maidens – Tori Bovalino
- Rebecca – Daphne Du Maurier
- Ninth Building – Zou Jingzhi
- Before the Coffee gets Cold: Tales from the Cafe – Toshikazu Kawaguchi
- The Silent Companions – Laura Purcell
- The House of Fortune – Jessie Burton
- Shirley – Charlotte Bronte
- Barchester Towers – Anthony Trollope
- Ruth – Elizabeth Gaskell
- The Lifted Veil and Brother Jacob – George Eliot
- The Making of the Marchioness – Frances Hodgson Burnett
- Emily of New Moon – L.M. Montgomery
And all at once, Summer collapsed into Fall.
Oscar Wilde
