Blog Tour: Legends and Lattes By Travis Baldree

Today is my stop on the Legends and Lattes blog tour! I’m so excited to share my thoughts on this book with you guys. I would like to thank Stephen and Tor Books for being so kind and sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree centres on (official blurb): “Worn out after decades of packing steel and raising hell, Viv the orc barbarian cashes out of the warrior’s life with one final score. A forgotten legend, a fabled artifact, and an unreasonable amount of hope lead her to the streets of Thune, where she plans to open the first coffee shop the city has ever seen. However, her dreams of a fresh start pulling shots instead of swinging swords are hardly a sure bet. Old frenemies and Thune’s shady underbelly may just upset her plans. To finally build something that will last, Viv will need some new partners and a different kind of resolve. A hot cup of fantasy slice-of-life with a dollop of romantic froth.”

I honestly don’t know where to start with this review. The reason I say this is because Legends and Lattes is one of them books that I absolutely adored every moment of whilst reading it and honestly don’t know where to even begin with my thoughts. So lets just get the obvious part out of the way… I absolutely loved this fantasy it has quickly become one of my all time favourite books and I cannot wait to see what Travis writes next.

I loved the fact that Legends and Lattes is a low stakes cozy fantasy novel that follows the everyday mundane life of the characters involved and the protagonist makes the decision to hang up her sword the only job and way of life she has ever known to go and follow her dream of opening a coffee shop somewhere where no-one has ever heard or tasted coffee before.

I loved how found families is such a key aspect throughout this novel and how the people you choose as your friends can truly become your real family and are the ones that will always have your back and be there for you no matter what decisions you make they will always be on your side and there to support you no matter what!

So I think its pretty safe to see that I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone especially people who loved The House in the Cerulean Sea or Nettle & Bone. Legends and Lattes is a High Fantasy, low stakes novel that really feels like one big warm cup of tea!!!
