Happy Blogmas Day 9! I thought today I would do another festive book tag and decided to do The Christmas Song Book Tag. It was originally created by Hailey in Bookland.
“You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch” – Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love.

The one villainous character that I keep coming back to when I think of this type of question is the classic villain, Captain James Hook from J.M Barrie’s Peter Pan. He has been one of the villains that has stuck with me the longest and I literally can’t help but love him for the villain he is.
“All I want for Christmas is you” – Which book do you most hope to see under your Christmas tree this year?

Would it be considered cheating if I chose a book that may already be under the Christmas tree waiting for me… Either way I’m still going to pick that book for this question 😂 That book would be The Christmasaurus and the Naughty List by Tom Fletcher. It’s the third book in The Christmasaurus series. I cannot wait to go on another adventure with The Christmasaurus and William.
“Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” – Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.

I found this question hard to answer as a number of characters came to mind when thinking about my answer. But in the end I decided to go with Linus from The House in Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Throughout this book Linus overcomes some major obstacles in his life and most of all he learnt to believe in himself.
“Santa Claus is coming to town” – A) Which character do you think is at the top of the naughty list?

I recently finished reading The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher and one character in particular sticks out for me that most definitely deserves his position on the naughty list and thats Hunter aka Huxley. He was absolutely horrid.
B) Which character do you think is at the top of the nice list?

Another recent read of mine was Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell I absolutely adored this book and there was one character in particular that not only deserves the world but also should be at the top of the nice list and thats Jem. If you’ve read my review you probably know how much I loved Jem as a character.
“Frosty the Snowman” – Which book just melts your heart?

There’s no dealt about it for this question I have to say Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. I read this one back in February and it had such an impact on me. It most definitely melted my heart.
“Feliz Navidad” – Pick a book that takes place in a country other than your own.

Tower by Bae Myung-Hoon not only is this book set in another country that is different to my own but its also a piece of translated fiction. Tower comprises of 6 interconnected short stories that are science fiction based.
“Its the most wonderful time of the year” – Which Christmas book do you use to spread the Christmas joy.

Every December I have a Christmas tradition of rereading A Christmas Carol and this wonderful classic is the perfect Christmas book to spread the Christmas joy.
“Sleigh Ride” – Which character would you choose to spend the holidays with?

Hands down my answer for this question has to be Morozko from the Winternight Trilogy. Who wouldn’t want to spend the holidays with the Winter King.
“Baby its cold outside” – Which book, that you didn’t like, would you sacrifice to a fire to warm yourself up in the cold?

This question I would normally find hard but back in October I read The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. This book just wasn’t for me and I would happily sacrifice it to a fire to warm myself up in the cold.
“Do you hear what I hear?” – Which book do you think everyone should read?

I have to pick Heaven by Mieko Kawakami. This book was phenomenal, impactful, unique, devastating and utterly thought-provoking. It shows the power of friendship and also the effects that bullying can have on individuals.
