September 2021 Wrap-Up

I cannot believe how quick September came and went. It was literally like one minute September had just started and then I blinked it was over. However, I’m so glad we are finally in October it is one of my favourite months of the year. I love the spooky season so much. However, before I get to engrossed in the spooky month of October I have to wrap-up September. So without further ado here is my September wrap-up.

– Books –

In September I read a total of 11 books.

  • Spy Family, Vol.2 – Tatsuma Endo
  • Anna Karenina – Leo Tolstoy
  • White Nights – Fyodor Dostoyevsky
  • Three Men in a Boat – Jerome K. Jerome
  • The Mayor of Casterbridge – Thomas Hardy
  • To the Warm Horizon – Choi Jin-Young
  • People from my Neighbourhood – Hiromi Kawakami
  • The Real George Eliot – Lisa Tippings
  • The Castle of Otranto – Horace Walpole

– Favourites –

  • Buddy Reads with Matt @qu.lit. We read a total of 4 books together this month Anna Karenina, Three Men in a Boat, The Mayor of Casterbridge and The Castle of Otranto.
  • Afternoon reading sessions with my mum have been a favourite of mine and I’m so glad we have started doing this again.
  • Books in general – book mail, charity shop finds, etc.
  • The first day of Autumn – Autumn is my favourite season (followed by Winter) and my autumnal loving heart is so happy that the best season has once again arrived. There is nothing better then that feeling of crisp air in the morning, a mass of candles, hot drinks, fairy lights, hoodies and books waiting for you.
