Happy Birthday Sirius Black!

As today is Sirius Black’s birthday I thought what better way to celebrate my favourite Wizarding World character then by sharing with you some of my favourite quotes by him. So here are just some of my favourite Sirius Black quotes…

“You should have died! Died, rather than betray your friends, as we would have done for you!”

“The world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.”

“What’s life without a little risk?”

“This is how it is – this is why you’re not in the order – you don’t understand – there are things worth dying for!”

“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”

“The ones that love us never really leave us. We can always find them… in here.”

“I did my waiting! Twelve years of it, in Azkaban.”

“We are part of you, said Sirius. Invisible to anyone else.”

Finally, I would like to end this post with the message I wrote underneath my Instagram post today: Happy Birthday Sirius Black  😉 He is my all time favourite HP character! He was the best godfather and friend anyone could ask for. Padfoot deserved better than the card that fate dealt him however he faced everything that was thrown at him like a true hero!

So if you have any favourite Sirius Black quotes I would love to hear them or if any of these are your favourite please feel free to share below in the comments.

One response to “Happy Birthday Sirius Black!

  1. I lost my heart to Sirius when I read Prisoner of the Azkaban for the first time. I was not initiated into the HP world before then and I picked up #3 randomly, and naturally and instantly fell l in love with everything in that world especially Sirius. I remember my best friend calling in the middle of the night when #5 had just out and bawling about Sirius’s death! I remember being torn with indignation because I was still about 100 pages from the end and heartbreak about the fact that without Sirius, something special had died in the series! I still cry when I re-read the series and often skip the last few pages of #5. I completely agree with you quote!! Vi va Padfoot!!
